Dance rehearsal vs. theater rehearsal: Coming from a dance background, I am always fascinated by the different rhythms of rehearsal rooms.

When choreographing for Romeo and Juliet directed by Toma Enache, we approached the sound for the movement in different ways.

Movement is a kind of text. This was the first thing I communicated to the actors when I began the choreography for Romeo and Juliet, directed by Toma Enache.

When I began the choreography for Romeo and Juliet directed by Toma Enache, I got asked “how is choreographing for theater different than choreographing for dance?”

One of the most beautiful challenges of this process has been choreographing in Romania, with a Romanian company, on a production in Romanian.

This summer, I am absolutely thrilled to be choreographing for a production of Romeo and Juliet directed by the incredibly talented director, Toma Enache.
